The easel is solid wood and has sturdy fasteners that are simple for adjusting the height and holding the easel at the appropriate angle. It is double-sided with one side a dry erase board and the other a chalkboard. The easel will hold an 18” wide roll of paper, which threads through the top and down one side to give children a large, easy to access painting surface. The paper tears off easily when the artwork is complete and ready for gallery viewing. There are also clips at the top of the easel to hold individual sheets of paper.

It has durable plastic trays on both sides to hold all the paints, crayons and chalks a little artist could want. The chalkboard side has an open tray while the opposite side has a tray that contains cups to hold water and paint, as well as brushes and other supplies.
